I started my nursing career in 1991 after graduating from Eastern Michigan University with my BSN. I have worked at McPherson Hospital in Howell, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland, Greenfield Health Systems in Pontiac and most currently at Beaumont Health Systems in Royal Oak. I have worked in a few different areas including medical -surgical nursing, Adult Intensive Care and outpatient hemodialysis, but my passion is renal transplant. I worked as an outpatient transplant nurse coordinator working with post renal transplant recipients as well as liver transplant recipients for the past 18 years. Recently I changed positions in my department and am now working in transplant quality. It is definitely a change from clinical care, but I am enjoying the new experience.
In my spare time I like to read, listen to music and relax with my husband and dogs. I have 2 adult children that are always keeping me on my toes.
