Hello everyone.

This was my first HPW and  I was quite impress with the information presented.   Learned  a lot. I also had the pleasure of meeting with  Ms Brenda Hudson from the   north east region , since we  were the only two from New York we bonded and had a great time. We fortunately had  the same appointment to see Congressman Engel  and did the rest of her visits together. It was tiring   yet exciting running from the senate side to the house side. We were fortunate to be  taken underground as we move from one  building to the next.  It is  another  world underneath,  fixed with sculpture and tram cars. We also learned that meetings are held wherever there is  space including the hallways and by the windows. Most important was the fact that  the information  we furnished them  was warmly received and  that  as nurses they really need us to keep them informed.  We can affect positive change when we stay involved. It also gave me new  appreciation for to the word lobbyist.  It gave me  a sense of accomplishment  participating  in the political process.  Two days later there was a press release on our visit
with  Congress man Engel  and also about ANNA.  I returned home with the flu but it was really worth it!  I   intend to stay involve!!!!!
