"A leader leads by example, whether he intends to or not.”

“A leader leads by example, whether he intends to or not.

Acadiana #252 wishes to welcome the newly elected leaders. The mission and goals of ANNA are as a compass pointing us in the right direction. However, leadership guides us over the many hills, curves, and rocks that may block the path to our final destination.

Being a leader requires courage! It means recognizing passion, authenticity, integrity, and ethics as the cornerstones of effective leadership upon which we lay the foundation to bring about change. And- these are personal choices, not simply what we come to know by studying about leaders and leadership. Purpose and passion go hand in hand. To be an effective leader, you must first care!  When you care deeply, you have a passion that is more than simply the spark that gets you started; it is the fire inside that will sustain you. Passion for a higher purpose is characterized by an openness to possibilities and the innate belief that people want to work together to create the best future imaginable. Passion plus possibilities gives you courage!

Acadiana would like to take this minute in time to thank each ANNA leader, past, present, and future for having the courage and passion to lead us over the many obstacles in our journey.

Very special congratulations to the incoming national treasurer, Charla Litton. Acadiana is very proud to introduce and to share with all ANNA members one of our own.

CONGRATULATIONS!

CHARLA LITTON

As a new officer this year and president elect for next year, I appreciate these words of inspiration. I, too, wish to express my congratulations to all the new local and national officers. Carla Litton, one of our own members, You go Girl. I know you will do great. As a fairly new officer, I look forward to working with and learning from all the experienced leaders we have in this organization. Thank you all for the mentoring you do. See you all in Boston.
