Finally, I have a visitor scheduled for KDAE week. The mayor of Greenwood, Louisiana is giving us a proclamation and wants to visit a dialysis unit. I am feeling encouraged. I am going to call the Shreveport Mayor, my two senators, and my representative. There is no escape for them. If they won't visit or send a staffer, I am going to visit them. How is everyone else doing? Everyone I asked said they would get back to me. I am starting to feel like I don't have a date for the prom and may have to get my cousin to take me! Ah Ha!!! My peskiness is paying off. Numerous phone calls, faxes, and emails have finally brought responses from 2 senators and 1 representative. I haven't been called a stalker yet, but am being very careful not to sound threatening. No one I have talked to yet made references to my many invitations, just finally agreed to schedule.
