Looking for Resources for Opening a New Inpatient Dialysis Unit

By Robyn Jackson posted 03-25-2011 13:49

I am a critical care nurse manager who is being given the exciting opportunity to start up and manage an inpatient dialysis unit at my hospital.  I have no background in nephrology nursing and am looking for resources.  Are there any toolkits or references that might be of use to me?  Thanks!

Hi Robyn
Congratulations on a wonderful opportunity and welcome to ANNA. The Acute Care SIG may be able to help (see below). Also AAMI is the standard for water treatment, CDC for infection control, and also be sure to visit a few acute units for really life knowledge !
