Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH)

LVH is a major cardiovascular complication in advanced chronic kidney disease. Key contributing factors are increased, peripheral vascular resistance that occurs with hypertension and increased preload from hypervolemia which to enlargement and thickening of the left ventricle (hypertrophy).
