Prisma-flex heaters

We are having a discussion in my unit with regard to the us of a heater on the return line of a prisma-flex for adult patients. Does everyone use a heater coil or line heater on their adult patients?

Hi Brad. At ucsd, we use both the coil wrap-around and the venous line sleeve. Personally, I like the coil b/c the sleeve is heavy and can pull on the access if it's not secured.

We use the heater here at UAB for Prisma flex. It wraps around the venous line.
