I was pleased to read your blog about the time you spent dialyzing patients over the Memorial Day holiday. Mainly because it reminded me of the time I used to spend at the bedside dialyzing patients in the ICU at Christus Schumpert Medical Center here in Shreveport, LA. It seems like yesterday but in reality it's been years. I'm not ready to trade in my job here at Fresenius Medical Care as a Education Coordinator quiet yet. I know I can return to the bedside if I chose to one day but at this moment I have the best job in the world. I have a great co-worker, Kim Bazer, and a wonderful boss, Sherri Lucas.
I am writing specifically to welcome you, a little ahead of time, to Shreveport, LA. and our Acadiana Chapter. We are eagerly awaiting your visit on June 29th and your talk on "CQI Approach to Help Improve Anemia Outcomes". I have applied for 1 CEU which would benefit our members and should help other chapters that might want to ultilize this program. We have a wonderful evening planned following the presentation, with heavy Hor d'oeuvres and a Jazz Combo. We are encouraging many nephrology professionals in the area to attend and spend the evening networking and making new contacts and well as renewing old ones.
This will be an evening we will all remember. If there is anyone interested in attending please contact me:
Mary.Bogues@fmc-na.com. I will be happy to send information, sell tickets, take RSVP's or anything else you might want to ask me about.
