Progressive loss of renal function, often associated with proteinuria and hypertension. Risk factors fall into two categories: acute and chronic injury. are possible contributors. injury may result from such factors as poorly controlled blood pressure, diabetes, dyslipidemia and effects of immunosuppressive therapy. Pathology is non-specific and involves a progressive vasculopathy.
